Chai tea is a rich, spicy and aromatic drink that has in the last decade captured a lot of loyal tea drinking fans. There are many different variations of chai tea on the market but the classic chai tea is usually a blend of black tea with cloves, cardamom, black pepper, and ginger. Black tea is the base of chai tea and is very rich in powerful antioxidants. Instead of using dairy milk, I opted to use almond butter.
