Scallops and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry
This recipe pairs Brussels sprouts with small bay scallops and honey to help balance and take off the occasional slight bitter taste in Brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts are like mini cabbages and are extremely nutritious for you. They are packed with vitamins and are an excellent source of fiber. Brussels sprouts have been found to have anti-cancer properties and cholesterol-lowering capabilities when consumed on a regular basis. They taste exceptionally nice when they are in season. Some stores even sell them intact on their stalks! You will not regret spending the time to make it.

  1. Whisk the sauce ingredients in a small mixing bowl until well combined and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and shallots to skillet and fry until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add Brussels sprouts and fry until golden, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Add mushrooms and salt and fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add scallops and fry until they are cooked and turned pink.
  7. Add sauce and stir well to combine.
  8. Turn off heat and serve warm.
